Leadership & Experience
JSM Quality Consulting is led by Jeff Mullen, a manufacturing Quality Manager with over a decade of hands-on experience supporting regulated and high-demand manufacturing environments.
Jeff has built, stabilized, and maintained ISO-compliant Quality Management Systems across ISO 9001, AS9100 Rev D, and IATF 16949, working directly with operations, engineering, suppliers, and leadership teams. His experience includes leading internal audits, supporting external audits, implementing corrective action systems, establishing meaningful KPIs, and improving process control in environments under real production pressure.
Rather than focusing on documentation alone, Jeff’s work centers on how quality systems are actually used—by operators, inspectors, engineers, and managers—to ensure compliance is achievable without disrupting production or overloading already limited resources.
-
JSM Quality Consulting was created to help manufacturers build quality management systems that work in practice—not just on paper.
Many organizations operate in regulated environments where ISO compliance is required, but quality systems often become difficult to maintain, poorly understood, or disconnected from daily operations. JSM exists to close that gap by helping companies align real-world manufacturing processes with ISO requirements in a way that is practical, structured, and sustainable.

JSM approaches quality improvement as a system problem, not a paperwork exercise.
Engagements focus on:
Clarifying expectations and requirements
Establishing structure where processes are unstable
Supporting corrective action and audit readiness
Building quality tools that teams can realistically maintain
JSM does not write quality manuals on behalf of clients. Instead, documentation is reviewed, refined, and aligned to ensure it accurately reflects how work is performed while meeting ISO requirements.
-
JSM operates using a remote-first consulting model, allowing manufacturers to make consistent progress without the disruption or cost of full-time onsite consulting.
Most work is performed remotely through secure collaboration tools, enabling flexibility around production schedules and internal resource constraints. Onsite support is offered selectively when direct process observation provides clear value, such as during initial assessments, audits, or critical implementation milestones.
This model allows organizations to access senior-level quality support without adding permanent headcount or interrupting day-to-day operations.
-
Quality systems should make work easier, not more frustrating.
JSM’s goal is to help manufacturers build clear, maintainable, and effective quality systems that support operations, satisfy auditors, and remain stable as standards and business needs evolve.
